Yes, blogging friends. (Or should I say "Blends"? Hey! I like that!) In a nutshell, the above recipe culminated in a less-than-relaxing weekend.
Certainly, I did have some fun being "out of touch"; however, it was hardly A Good Thing (to use Martha's "catch phrase" without permission) from a fiscal perspective.
I am hoping for a more pleasant and productive week -- cross your fingers, toes and eyes. I know I will. :P
And now that I've kvetched and moaned, I'd love to hear about the BEST thing that happened to you this weekend! I'm serious! I want to hear positive stuff like random acts of kindness and unexpected checks in the mail. Please dish!

Red Sox won the World Series. Though I could care less, it made everyone around me happy, which is nice.
My DH has started rendering the walls on the outside.
My father paid a visit to us.
Mundane? Well, perhaps.
But these keep things going around us.
Sorry for all the frustration!
Not a great weekend either. I'm sick, and our youngest is sick.
tiv ~ I am so out of the loop that I didn't even realize they had won! (I'm not much of a baseball fan.) But I understand how happy people can be when a sports team wins. Even when it's just the local high school football team, you can see a difference in the way people act. They are always just a little friendlier. Glad your weekend was nice.
Szelsofa ~ I agree - sometimes it's the little things that make life so wonderful and pleasant!
Jason ~ I feel your pain. Must be a Pennsylvania thing! Just about everyone I know in the midstate is sick, too!
I was in line at the supermarket, and in front of me was a little boy and two even littler girls. The boy handed some candy to the checker and opened his hand. The candy cost 40 cents, and he clearly only had a nickel, a dime and a few pennies. The fact that I was able to help him by handing him a quarter made me feel better than anything else all week!
