Oh God. Estimated taxes (and self employment tax) are the worst. Bad bad bad.

Way to go! I have tons of friends who write too, and I'm actually proud of them. I think it's a noble job and it's an endless medium of the imagination. How's your writing going, btw? I always hear my friends say, "Just writing.." I'm also helping one of them to find some accounting firms in Indianapolis to help out with his financial statements. I guess being a freelance writer requires extra expenses.
