Boy, this is great! I'm impressed with your son -- that he actually plays along! My sisters and I used to do this and I wanted to try it with my kids, but they seldom played along. "Why are you talking funny?" they'd want to know.
Speaking from experience, actually, there is a kind of meditation, where you are supposed to talk nonsense for a complete five (or more??) minutes! Given the special circumstances (candlelight, relaxed position, special music), this meditation gives you a truly refreshing feeling.
I think you have just done something similar with your son. Great job!
